Those are the two I can do so far! Holla! I think it would be easier with a sewing machine, but I had probably better learn to hand sew first just in case of the zombie apocalypse because we will have no one to man electricity or go out and get batteries if someone’s clothes were to rip! You know what they say… “Better safe than sorry” 4 days ago

I love Arts and Crafts and other little girly things. Yet I suck at sewing. I barely can make a perfect square whenever I need to. Last time, I crocheted a beautiful handbag but because of my horrible sewing skills, the straps of my bag look ugly. I am soooo not happy about this. I’m gonna change it for real this summer. I guess, starting with a sewing class. I’ll register for one. 1 week ago

I am currently working on a quilt that I started last year. In the last week or two I have been working on the centre square, which I have now almost finished. Then the rest should hopefully come together. I am also getting more excited about how it is coming together as I go along. So I am really hoping to keep that momentum going. 2 weeks ago

I am in no way good at it yet but i have sewn an apron with an embroidered ornament so there is at least something. However, I am going to continue with this and get better at it. I’ll just have to specify the goal for it to be better achievable (which hopefully means more encouraging for me at the same time). 4 weeks ago

How I did it: I read a lot of blogs that talk about sewing and refashioning clothes. And then I practiced on cheap clothes I already own, or I bought $1 finds from Goodwill.
What I really wanted to learn was how to refashion the clothes I already own so they fit better or are a better style for me. I cannot afford to go out and buy expensive clothes (or even average priced). I like to go to thrift stores a lot and I sometimes see something I like that is too big, now I know how to make it fitted! Read how I did it… 2 months ago
