stop obsessively checking myspace

everytime i get on the computer i have to check it. Whenever I’m not out partying or with my friends, I’m at home on myspace. Everyone used to be like me, now no one hardly gets on anymore, except me. I have like 500 friends and I’m only 12 cuz pervy guys add me all the time.

I NEED TO STOP GETTING ON ALL THE TIME! I kind of like this boy Austin and I’m always getting on to se if he’s on or look at his pictures I’ve seen 1000 times or listen to his song and read his about me for the millionth time.

so this kind of goes hand in hand w/ the whole weight gain issue. when i’m not working i don’t have much to do during the day and since all my friends are at work i go to myspace because someone is always on myspace! but the thing with that is is that you lose your drive and motivation to get up and go for a walk. to go and look for a new job. i try all the time not checking it. i’ll put myself in situations where it’s pretty much impossible to go online and yet the second i do i’m on that damn thing! i don’t think it’s a bad thing, it definitely helped me w/ alot of issues, people on there are great when you go there w/ the right intentions and i’ve made some very dear friends whom i wouldn’t have met had i not ever started on myspace so no i won’t delete it but i definitely need to ease up on it.

i seldom check myspace now….that’s because i have a facebook account.

so problem not really solved, is it?

Myspace is so two years ago. It’s all about facebook, kids!

its taking over my life haha but now that ive moved out i dont have a computer, except when im somewhere where i do have one, im obsessively on myspace

I wanted to delete it for months but never could. I knew I would never talk to some of those people again, but I love not having it.

I can’t do it. What can I say… I’m addicted. It’s a fruitless effort for me. Ohhhh wellllll.

Can´t be even bothered to log in. And I feel happy in my life :) Just missing out some guys trying to hit on me… big deal

I still used Myspace periodically to keep track of friends, and today it was hacked, my password changed, and all of my friends deleted. My heart just sank, not because OMGZ MYSPACE but because some of these people really are too lazy to get ahold of me ANY OTHER WAY. It made me realize how many of these people probably aren’t true friends since they can’t be bothered, and now I have no way to get ahold of them, not even by phone or IM. It makes me sick. Especially since I’m not bothering with Myspace anymore.

Getting away from Myspace was absolutely worth doing, and it’s structure made it very easy to not want to spend time there anymore: the sheer volume of inane bulletin surveys people post in an attempt to get attention, the large amount of porn profiles or people who want 8,000 fake friends attempting to add me, and the amount of promotions of crappy bands and movies and annoying ads with sounds. Bye bye Myspace!
