How to do karaoke

 "My singing was worse than I could have ever imagined, my husband was humiliated, but it was a really fun experience."
How I did it: A friend of mine hired a professional karaoke DJ for a party he had this past Saturday. I felt this was the perfect opportunity because everyone at the party was friendly and didnt think they would boo me. I fueled up on a lot of beer before hand. Then it was time for me to get up and sing. I was horrible. I've never heard anything so bad. I left everyone speechless. My husband was mortified. BUT, I had so much fun and now I can say I've done karaoke. I'm sure I won't be allowed to do again anytime soon. Lessons & tips: Don't dance while singing karaoke. I fell and badly sprained both my ankle and got a huge gash in my big toe. I wish I were making this up. Resources: Bud Select, however, Miller Lite or Coors Lite will do just fine too! P.S I did a rap song so I felt it crucial to dress the part. You may want to do this too. i.e. If singing a Brittany Spears song, dress like a slut. ect. |

I’ve always been too self-conscious about singing and being in front of people to combine the two in such a way as this. I’ve been doing alot of things recently that were previously abnormal for me, so I hope I can add this. Hopefully I don’t throw up.

I love singing, and singing in front of other people is even better for an attention-hog like me. I sang “I Will Survive”, and then Kathryn, Laura and I sang “Big Girls Don’t Cry” (terrible choice ;P!) and then Laura and I sang “Something to talk about”. that was fun. _

Sure, you may be a little nervous at first…..but sing anyways!! I forgot my words and got way out of rhythm…...but people still clapped…....

But it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that I had the balls to do it.
The best karaoke I ever heard was these three guys who did a Beastie Boys song at the Thirsty Whale one time. They were great. I was in the parking lot but I could hear them…maybe it really was the Beasties! ;)
