Today I made the first step and began looking up Karaoke in Chicago. I think it would be fun to go with friends if i can get them to do it =]
How I did it: I did this with a group of friends when we went on vacation to San Antonio. It was probably easier because I knew I would never see most of those people ever again. After doing it once though, I would do it anywhere. Probably not alone though. Singing with friends made me way less embarassed. We sang "Possoum Kingdom" by Toadies. I’ve always been too self-conscious about singing and being in front of people to combine the two in such a way as this. I’ve been doing alot of things recently that were previously abnormal for me, so I hope I can add this. Hopefully I don’t throw up.

I love singing, and singing in front of other people is even better for an attention-hog like me. I sang “I Will Survive”, and then Kathryn, Laura and I sang “Big Girls Don’t Cry” (terrible choice ;P!) and then Laura and I sang “Something to talk about”. that was fun. _
I want to do karaoke more!

Sure, you may be a little nervous at first…..but sing anyways!! I forgot my words and got way out of rhythm…...but people still clapped…....
