Just write something

Found a website for finding penpals www.interpals.net and have found some penpals to write the letters to. It’s so interesting to talk to people around the world but it’s so easily spending hours on that site. One day, I just felt sick in my stomach for being on that website too often and too long and forgetting the face that I still have a real life, a life outside of the internet. I’m trying to cut back the time on there and focus on my real life.

One day last month, I was so bored. Too bored to think clearly I think. I joined an on-line dating again. I didn’t expect to meet anyone from there actually. But seeing its commercial million times a day, I thought it might happen to me.

It’s been over 1 month and I’ve gotten rejected by guys just because I didn’t have picture in my profile. How lame!!! Two days ago, I decided to withdraw the service and felt so free all the sudden. I think, 1)I’m not ready to see anyone yet, 2)I’m happier when I don’t bother looking for a date, 3)I’m so done with on-line dating stuff, 4)I should listen to myself, not the commercial.

J called again. I don’t think I want to talk to him again. I’ve forgiven him but still can’t forget what he has done. I wish him well and not phone me again.

Just want to keep it simple and easy to stick to it

Health
1) Be more active. Try to workout 4 times a week+1 other kind of physical activity
2) Do 10k Sunrun again
3) Will try to jog this summer
4) Try to cut down process food and meat consumption

Finance
1) Put some money into saving account on every payday
2) Bring my own breakfast and lunch as many times as possible. Cook more and have less takeouts/eat-outs.
3) Try not to use credit/debit cards unless I have to.

Others
1) Try to go out more
2) Maybe try to go on a date (not too sure about this but may give it a shot)

Yesterday received an e-mail from M, one of my close friends. I just can’t belive that she’s a new mom of a 4 mon yo boy now. Prior to this e-mail, she just told me how busy she was with her work and stuff in the e-mail (Apr/07). She didn’t tell me if she was seeing anyone. Of course I’m happy for her, but the news is pretty shocking to me.

Later that night, L and I were talking about our Sunday brunch together. Just about wanting to tell her about something, she said she needed to go. The moment of wanting to share something with a friend just totally ruined.

Although I think I’m pretty happy of being single, seeing all my close friends starting seeing someone and being married just reminds me how lonely I actually am. That sucks.

I started talking to D, the guy I used to know, the other day. He told me that he and his girlfriend are thinking about getting married. I was so thrilled and happy to hear. He is a nice and funny but one thing about him I didn’t like was his unfaithfulness (is it a word?). He tried so hard to meet the girl of his dream and didn’t want to settle until his current girlfriend. He sounds really happy now.

His story reminds of what my science teacher from high school told us. She said, “there’s someone for everyone. She or he is somewhere and that is meant for you to be wtih. You really don’t need to ‘look for’ him because you’ll meet him one day when time is right.”

I think I’ve tried too hard in the past 15 years. It’s time to take a break and focus on and take care of myself. I need to look after myself for the guy, my future plus one, for the time being. If it would take me years, so be it. I just know he’s somewhere right now and waiting for the day. :)

Today, Denise not only came by to say hi, but also brought me a donut (leftover from a meeting) and a cup of green tea. She said “I know it’s hard to be the new. I thought those would cheer up”. What a surprise!!! I know not many people would talk to the new person either in the class or at work and I’m okay with that. What she did it for me really touched me. We even don’t work in the same department!!! What a sweet girl!!!
