grow my own potted spices and herbs

I’m trying a new tactic with the mint: I’m trying to get cuttings to take root so I can plant THOSE.

I wonder where I can get rosemary at this time of year? If I can grow basil, mint and rosemary I’ll consider this goal completed. The basil I have in my garden, and I might try that cutting tactic with it too, but rosemary is going to be harder.

I have mint, basil, chives and (randomly) lavendar in my garden already. I think that a) I need to get a little more variety in there and b) since I’m moveing out in a year, it’d be nice to have this stuff in pots so I can take it with me.

Famous last words: how hard can it be? The transplanted mint is ALREADY dead, so I can put it down with ‘spider plants’ and ‘cactuses’ on the list of supposedly un-killable plants that my black thumb croaked.

Also both of my fish died this morning. My subconcious is starting to mutter about bad omens, dun dun dun…
