My roommate and I are planning on going in 2010. She used to live in Utah and has friends we can most likely stay with. YAY! I’m so excited. It’ll be a lot of fun!

I’ve always been a closet film buff, so I’ve had this dream of either Sundance or Cannes. And now that I’m living much closer to Utah, I have no excuse! Cannes will follow :)

Didn’t see any celebrities. Most of the people I met there were pretty dumb and some of the movies sucked. However, it was really interesting to see so many different films from all over the world.

folks who’d made it in were really open, happy to be there and happy to discuss their work, rather than snobby or unapproachably self-satisfied. also, check out slamdance up the road.

I lived in Utah for 4 years and went to Sundance the last 2 years I lived there. I LOVED it, but it is getting more popular so it is harder to get into. You can also volunteer for the festival, which is a backway into the whole thing.
