haha I played raquet ball with my brother yesterday for the first time in like five years. I managed to somehow knock the wind out of myself and I think I bruised my ribs but yeah! I’m sore.
Started working out hard last week of 2008. Since I have dropped 10 pounds and gained 80 in my bench. Also, did 50 pull-ups this week in one workout (not all at once). Getting there.
Need to focus on my lower abs now. I still have the love handles a bit and really only have 4 showing with 5 and 6 starting to peak.
I went dancing at a club last night till like four in the morning and now I’m sore as fuck. I really wanna get back into pilates and get uber ripped. :D
Toy_Amazon using up all of my cheers for the day
It is really an issue of will power. For the guys, the composition shift is made much easier by having a higher testosterone level, keeping them leaner as they gain muscle. For us ladies, getting ripped is alot harder, because even we need to get our body fat levels lower through diet manipulation. For men, this basically means just eat healthy, because they can burn up to 3000 cals sitting on there butts, for women this means calorie counting and cardio. Needless to say, it is easier to get off track.
My major slip up is the weekends, where I eat and drink with friends and family. So I am going to have to show more will-power when socializing. Also, I need to be consistent about weighing and measuring my food and cooking it in advance, not guesstimating and ordering “healthy” take out meals, cause I don’t know how many calories there are in them. I also need to do about an hour of cardio 6 days a week, so if i do slip there is a buffer. Adding the cardio should be easy, I teach spin twice a week, i may be adding a class, so that takes 3 days already! The other 4 I should so just hunker down after my weight workouts.
Spring snuck up on my ass, and summers coming and my trainer is already ripped, so I am highly motivated.
Wish me luck!
I am 180 pounds. not bad, id say. I used to be an International Judo Competitor. but noticed the used to be. I have sense then quite for various reasons and have slacked off im not anywhere near the shap i used to be, but even back then i was never “ripped” my plan is to just grit my teeth and start lifting, running, doing sit-ups the whole shebang. my biggest problem is lack of motivation, hopefully ill be able to push past that.
Im want to get super fit and change they way I look. I have always wanted to be bigger Im very slim and I struggle to put on any weight. Im determined to change this and start to feel better about myself. My first goal is to start the gym and train my upper body and also my legs. I had a bad accident last year and I was in a weelchair for six months. Consequently, my legs suffered greatly and they need alot of work to regain muscle and strength. If any one has any tips for what excercise I should be aiming for or any diet tips then please let me know. Wish me luck
I have gained 5lbs this month, and think I will shoot for a 10lb gain for september. Good progress so far. I think I will look great at 160 and I will work hard to see if I am correct.
