Cat_W_Wings is meditating about her life
I wish there was a Spanish conversation group near me. I would love to practice with people that were also just learning, like me.
How I did it: No one in the small town I lived in spoke English. I took a 3 wk intensive language course in a local language school and before the year was up, I was fluent in Spanish.

I grew up speaking Spanish and French. Spanish is my first language though. My mom never fully grasped speaking English and some of my family on her side don’t speak English, most of them are still in Panama. My mom has a very strong accent when she tries to speak English, goes the same way for my dad.
i was thinking of trying Rosetta Stone, has anyone tried this and was it worth it?
I took spanish 1 and 2…not too much help. I’m thinking of getting one of my friends to maybe help me or ordering a video set..
I’ve been working on the book Spanish in 10 minutes a day. So far: I can count up to 11000 (seems excessive right?), I know the days of the week, greetings, primary colors, currently working on the months of the year. Waiting to get to some verbs, can’t say much except, Yo tengo, then i speak english. not helpful..yet.

I am very familiar with Spanish. I took it in high school 101 and 102. I actually took beginning spanish again in college to bring my GPA up. I would like to find some interactive software that will allow me to work daily using sentences, phrases, etc. Any suggestions?
