Social Beauties . com, a social networking site(not a pig pen like myfreeimplants)that supposedly helps you pay for plastic surgery. They have a list of what you can trade your points for.Breast implants are 145,000 pts but they offer other rewards like beauty products for less points.
I really want to have minor surgery on both my nose and chin.
In general, I like the way I look, and everyone I tell about the surgery tells me I’m crazy. Actually, I too think I’m pretty, but I COULD be even prettier, if I just corrected these flaws. They bother me, they sort of destroy the perfection I want to have. They just annoy me. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but I just don’t want to keep this for the rest of my life.
So I’m saving money…
I want to have this done before I’m 18.
Ok… I have a whole list of things I want done. I want to get a tummy tuck, have a thigh and a knee lift, general lipo… and I want boobs that look like they could shake your hand – perky! So, if I could get a boob lift done.. I’d be happy.
IvyTiger is bored
I always want to get tummy tuck, neck lift, cheekbones and breat enlargement and also something to get rid of these scars on my chest. I’m totally self esteem and I always hid my look and everything. I tried excerising but turned out I’m so slack an can’t be bothered.. I need to do something better! =(
In order to determine why anything works, it is necessary to define what “works†means. What is breast augmentation meant to accomplish? According to one survey, “…almost 90 percent of women surveyed agreed with the statement that “breast augmentation is a personal choice that helps women to achieve the confidence and well-being to flourish in other areas of their lives…â€
It’s easy to get people to agree with an ennobling statement, but the essential point about breast augmentation is contained the survey query: this surgery is about self esteem. And self esteem, as any professional in the fields of psychology will tell you, is at the core of a life that is both productive and happy. With that in mind, here are the top 7 reasons why breast augmentation ‘works’:
1. Personal appearance is at the top of the self-esteem recipe, and breast augmentation contributes to a woman’s appearance not only for others, but more importantly as she appears to herself.
2. A survey published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal in 2004 showed that the average respondent was a mother in her thirties, seeking to restore her figure to its pre-childbirth dimensions. These are people seeking to improve on who they are, not trying to be someone else.
There has been a stigma attached to breast augmentation, associating the procedure with professional women who need professional breasts. It is essentially an urban myth – the procedure is the third most popular cosmetic surgery choice in the country, with about 300,000 occurrences annually.
3. Breast augmentation also falls into the category of breast reconstruction. Women who have lost a breast to a mastectomy or to some sort of trauma often report a tremendous psychological shock, sense of loss and disfigurement. Restoring her former profile and self image can be a critical step in the healing process for a breast cancer victim. The options for breast reconstruction go beyond insertion of an augmentation device.
4. Breast augmentation works best when the patient who opts for it is well informed. The study cited above reported that 68% of respondents study reported that they considered the surgery for at least one year before deciding to act. There is much to learn about breast augmentation: a good place to start is the FDA’s Breast Implant Consumer Handbook.
5. It’s important to understand that, just as any surgical procedure, there may be post-op complications. One important part of the process in selecting a surgeon is finding one who will be straightforward about possible complications and their likelihood.
6. Breast augmentation with implants is best considered to be a procedure that will have to be repeated. Implants are generally replaced after ten to fifteen years. It is also possible that an implant can burst. There is no health threat associated with a burst implant, but it will require replacing. It’s important to know the surgical reality behind the aesthetic improvement.
7. Finally, select your surgeon with care. Ask your regular doctor for a recommendation, and then seek out other women who have had procedures or who have knowledge of the field. Many plastic surgeons specialize today; find one who specializes in breast augmentation and reconstruction and who has his or her own criteria for accepting patients.
I have wanted to do this forever, it is a breast augmentation. I’ve actually already had my consultation and this is scheduled for 4-25. I can’t wait! I’ve worked very hard and considered the risk involved. I am getting a 2nd job soon to help pay more upfront for this.
not necessarily plastic surgery but atleast lipo and a tummy tuck.thats all i need.a push in the right direction and im sure i can keep it off
I lost quite a bit of weight between 2004-2005, and have kept it off. Unfortunately, I have rather loose skin left over from weight loss and a liposuction (well worth it) done in 2000. This is a medium priority for me, as I’m not going to do it until my credit cards and my car are all paid off. I think it will take about $30K. However, I may consider going abroad for the work.
I’m making an appointment for consultation during my Christmas break. Perhaps this goal is closer to being accomplished than I had ever expected…
Now I only need to:
a) lose some weight
b) do some research
c) find $4000 to pay for it.
