i did it! i scheduled chad’s doctor appointment for thursday, sept. 13th!

While at the orthopedic surgeon for my foot/ankle yesterday, I told him I needed to make an appointment with a GP/IM physician. My surgeon gave me a referral, on-the-spot, and I got an appointment within fifteen minutes of speaking with the new doctor’s receptionist—I’m scheduled for this coming Monday. How’s that for fast?

I spent this morning typing up a list of current prescriptions and a family history to take with me to meet with the new physician. They’ve already scheduled lab work during my appointment, too.

So, I’m good-to-go …

I’ve scheduled this in my PDA for tomorrow to call and find a new doctor, in this new city - one that accepts new patients - and make an appointment.

I had to postpone doing this for the last two months because I broke my right foot/ankle and have been totally immobile since April 2nd. It’s impossible to make any appointments - or do anything - when you can’t leave the house, drive a car, or even walk!

But, I go to the surgeon tomorrow and, if all goes well, the cast will either come off - or, at least I’ll get a date of when it will - so, I’ll be in a better position to start LIVING my life AGAIN!
