And the best part is…We’re turning the garage into a home gym!!! I am so excited!

How I did it: We didn't have that much stuff in there to start with, but there were still boxes in the garage from when we moved in initially and they were getting ruined and gathering dust. We also had the issue of never being able to find the tools we needed at a given time, so I got a big, wire, industrial shelf, put that bad girl together, and got a bunch of plastic bins which I labeled to organize various families of tools and such. I … Read how I did it…

Although it’s not done yet, we have talked about getting a big bin to empty out all the junk in the garage, so that way we can put the new elliptical machine and the punching bag in there to begin our home gym! So at this point, there are double benefits to clearing out this garage.

elizabethmerchant loves to do lots of stuff

well…my husband did organize the garage while this goal was posted, so it was accomplished, sort of….
and if not, i won’t finish by my 2/28 deadline to clear this list
so at any rate, it’s gone.

It was all done but I did not keep up on it. So it goes back on the list
MusesFigment with enough operations I can live forever and look good too.
When we moved into the new house we had a lot of stuff to toss, give away or make a space for. If you can’t afford the plastic tubs you can turn cardboard boxes inside out, re-tape,then label so it is easy to see where things are. We grouped like items together: camping, car, christmas, halloween, games, gardening, work stuff, etc…..
We bought metal shelving for both side walls of the garage. It came with plastic brackets. Go ahead and buy the better quality metal brackets so you don’t have falling shelves later on.
Once everything has a place it is easy to find and easy to put back where you found it. Good Luck.

Or tomorrow. We need to go through about eight boxes and condense them. Then go through our big tubs and see what we can get rid of. Also organize Christmas stuff so it’s easy to access when the time comes.

I started a few days ago and now I have one side if it done. Maybe tomarrow I will be able to cross this off my list
Need to make space in the garage for one or both cars. Set up more shelves, get rid of the cardboard, get rid of the excess clutter, in fact get rid of anything that we won’t use within the next 3 years!
because its way too cold to organize in winter. along with this goal goes starting to recycle things and get recyclying bins, etc.
