May I gently suggest that those who claim this as a goal have it in reverse order?

Start writing first—what you want to write about will make itself apparent to you after that. :)

When it does, don’t compromise or talk yourself out of it. Don’t tell yourself that no one else will ever be interested in it, or that it’s a silly subject—write about it. Feel your passion move through the words as they appear on screen or on paper. Keep writing about the subject until you are completely empty, knowing it could take minutes, or decades.

Then write some more, because the next thing, the next soul passion, is waiting for you to come to it in the same way.
