that we have done in Japan. Magnificent scenery spanning almost 5 kilometres. We had the most glorious day for this, and the river views were to die for. The tunnels were not overly long – although a couple were very dark and you were glad you had a torch in those. Well worth doing!!

This has to be one of the nicest walks I’ve done in the Kansai region. It’s a flat, easy hike along a disused section of railway, about 5km in length. The scenery is stunning – you walk most of the way along a river. Every so often you pass through sections of tunnel – I was glad to have a flashlight as a couple were quite long! A wonderful day with nonna, capnemo and Snicks.
... this as a goal, when Ume invited me to join her. This sounds like it could be a great walk, and even better photo opportunities…....
