Here’s what I completed, regardless. I’m feeling really proud of myself.

How to finish a crossword puzzle"I feel smart!"
How I did it: More than 50 million people in the United States play crosswords regularly, count me in as one of them! I have tried them all; online, newspapers, magazines, daily crossword books...oh my! My skill has increased over time, but I had done thousands before I finally completed one (with no dictionary, assistance or cheating). Ok...so, maybe the one I completed wasn't at the NY Times, which is regarded as one of the hardest, but all the spaces were filled in and that counts! I think the key is to just keep doing crosswords! If you are interested, you can create your own crossword puzzle pretty easily online. I used to make my own when I was a staff trainer, it was a fantastic way to teach something in a fun way. |

How I did it: I looked at the answers the next day for the ones I missed, this helped me figure out how the clues work. Oftentimes they're not straightforward. Looking at the answers the next day thus helped me figure out the "crossword language". Sure it was the Monday crossword, but now I want to finish the ones later in the week. There's always a new challenge... Read how I did it…

How I did it: I like the "Penny Press" crossword and word puzzle books you can pick up from the grocery store. I really like getting the Variety puzzles. Not only can you do crosswords, but there are a variety of other puzzles you can do too. Read how I did it…

Answer: Finishing a crossword puzzle!
I’ve been doing them every day ever since I discovered how terribly addicting they are, always getting pretty close to completing them, but never 100%.
Although I’ll admit that I haven’t finished a full one by myself (I got some help from my friends), ah well, what the heck, I finished one! =D
I finally finished a crossword by myself! Granted it was “easy”, but it still took me a while.
