The news?  — 5 months ago

As you know, I finished the basic Arabic book, then another with CDs, and am now working on another.
The French grammar book is in a box halfway across the world, so I’ll get to it maybe next year.
I haven’t finished the music theory course, but I’ll browse tonight and call it done.
The blogs were promoted, check out my blogs :) .
Not only did I thank my interns, they are now rad bloggers themselves, running Faussét.

The only things left are  — 8 months ago

French grammar and Music Theory.
The blogs have been majorly promoted, especially thanks to my sisters the interns. One of them has started her own seriously cool blog and I’m so proud.

More Arabic  — 11 months ago

Since I haven’t started a job yet, I got re-started on another Arabic book. Al-Kitaab is really elementary, but I’m using it to work on vocabulary, and also going to use the CD-ROM to improve listening and pronunciation.
I’ve out-grown my cool mini-dictionary (by Gaafar & Wightwick), so one of these days, I’m going to get a real dictionary (likely the Hans Wehr Arabic-English dictionary). Looking forward to it.

In blog promotion...  — 1 year ago

I just removed AdSense from one blog, because it was making basically zero, and the ads started getting irrelevant: the bright red “find your soulmate” advertisement didn’t quite fit the theme at Money Talk.

Need to find a better way, and possibly someone to help.

Just finished the Arabic book!  — 1 year ago

Did most of the book two or three times to drill the vocabulary. Now I’m going to put Arabic aside for a while.

Also sent “thank you” notes on e-cards to my interns. The e-cards were from Make-A-Wish kids – so cute.

Halfway thorugh "Arabic in 10 minutes a day"  — 1 year ago

On Chapter 14 of 25 after spending hours studying daily for 10 days. (At 10 minutes a day, it would take months.)
Big cheer to me :)

Update 1  — 1 year ago

Started working on the Arabic book yesterday: very pleased. I want to go to Aden, I feel the wanderlust in my gut.

My sister-intern sent me a great email today on her moves to promote let’s call it blog-Eng. I have great faith in her promoting work, that’s just thrilling.

Blog-Fra is co-founded by my other sister-intern. She seems to really like being involved. Yet another thrill. We need contributors and content, I suppose. We need to talk about our ideas for the blog.

I need to thank them both for their contribution and enthusiasm.
