Over. Need to sort out and sit on (and pay off max mortgage) until the ‘credit crunch’ is over. In a decade or so. Procrastination is a beeyatch!

We just bought a small house – now we need to sell our flat! Shouldn’t be too difficult, the area is very popular and there are lots of people buying at the moment.
The main worry is the amount of work it will take to move all our clutter into storage to make the place look attractive for buyers (homestyling!).
Before the market crashes completely and whatever I could make on it vanishes for the next ten years. I need to stop faffing about, get what needs to be sorted sorted, and get the estate agents round. Christmas – lousy time to sell, but three months of falling prices? It has to be now. I need to keep my future in mind and not be an idiot.
Had a really good offer for the flat which is subject to survey so fingers crossed. £6k more than the only other offer I had and definitely more than I expected to get. Lot of work to do clearing out the furniture etc but feeling so relieved.
OK, I know it’s only been on the market four weeks but why isn’t anyone interested in buying my lovely flat? My lawyer tells me that people are looking for a bargain to do up and then rent out. Why? They could buy my flat and rent it out without having to do it up – it could save them a fortune! I’m starting to worry as we are now paying two mortgages, two council tax bills and no rental income. Don’t know how much longer we can do this financially.

My flat has now been on the market just under a week but no interest so far. I know this is a great time for selling but I’m so nervous that no-one will buy it. My flat has soul – I hope someone will feel that.
Decided to sell after renting my flat for four years. Waiting for my tenant to move out this week then the solicitor can get it on the market. I’m hoping it will sell quickly – there is a lot of demand right now. Fingers crossed.
I’ve moved into a new flat with a friend. It’s a beautiful flat, and so far (we’ve been there a month) we’re pretty happy.
It’s taken us 3 years to sell our old flat – and it’s still fingers crossed as we haven’t exchanged contracts yet. Buying that flat was one of the worst mistakes my husband and I ever made. It was in a crappy (and quite scary) location, surrounded by council estates, and it turned out to be subsiding! It took over a year for a company just to come out and INSPECT the bugger for subsidence. They then cut down a huge and beautiful willow tree outside the flat and it took another 6 months of waiting to see if the subsidence had stopped. I absolutely cannot wait until we sell this property!
