I would love to ride a motorbike…it would be such a rush! I think I need to find a bad-boy boyfriend! :)
How to ride a motorbike
How I did it: I first had to learn how to ride a bicycle for a few months (!), then went on a BMW novice rider's course for two days, then bought a light 250cc Kawasaki and basic gear, got a work buddy to ride around the neighbourhood after hours behind me on his bike, took another BMW intermediate one day course and then practised on my own after work on my work campus at least twice a week, A few Sunday rides later, I can ride competently but am still not rush hour traffic material and neither do I want to be! I just like riding in early morning empty roads and opening up the throttle!
Lessons & tips: Don't go for a big bike if you weigh 50kg and stand 1,6m in your socks - 250cc is fine! Buy a good fitting helmet, boots, gloves, chaps and padded jacket and go for good quality safety gear, not looks - you can get that later once you are not afraid of falling off the bike.

now we just have to find a mutually convenient time when the weather’s reasonable. So far that’s proving easier said than done.
is taking next week off work to spend fixing his bike, so I might soon be able to achieve this goal. His only advice for when he takes me for a ride is, ‘don’t fall off’ Sounds like good advice!
hotchocwoman longing to dance salsa!!
I have always wanted to ride a motorbike and have started putting plans in place to do it.A few weeks ago I did a novice rider course and actually rode a 250cc bike! Next step in the plan is to get myself a Kawasaki 650cc and learn to ride that.
has motorbike, it’s not working at the moment but he’s working on fixing it. He’s also agreed to take me for a ride on it when it’s working.
I have never been on a motorbike in my life but when a friend was talking about a time when he’d had a bike the thought came into my head, ‘make that a 43Things goal’ I don’t know how long it will take to achieve this one, at the moment I don’t know anyone with a motorbike I could ask to help me out, so I’ll leave it on the list and look out for an opportunity to put the goal into practice.
granted, i was a passenger, and scared out of my wits at first, but soon settled into the ride. loved it!!!! never been on a bike b4! now i want to get my licence and actually drive the thing!!!!
I’ve always loved bikes – especially Harleys (although Ducatis are pretty damn awsome too!) but never been on one. Definately reckon it would be an awesome rush, but it’s gonna have to be something pretty small as I’m only 4”8…
riding a motorbike is a lot more exilerating than driving a car. a car can get nowhere near the speed that top end bikes can. my brother let me try out his GSXR 600 and that was amazingly quick. ferrari type speeds! so i can only imagine how savage the bigger 1000s are. my uncle has the new fireblade and that makes an evil noise. so having achieved this the next step is owning one!! i almost had a ducati 748 last year but the good lady stopped me – more to do with finances than me killing myself!
