Accepted to GMU 18 months ago

Well, I got accepted to George Mason University!! The big envelope arrived in the mail over a week ago. As I was pulling it out with a quizzical look on my face it dawned on me at the same time I the GMU logo on the envelope appeared. Needless to say, a huge smile crossed my face. After riding the elevator and deciding to pass on telling the pizza delivery guy that I just got accepted to pursue my Master’s degree, I decided to call my older sister. She’s considering pursuing a Master’s degree and I wanted to encourage her. Well, long story short, I’ve since registered for a summer course in Econometric Methods and I’ve registered some classes for the Fall Term.

I didn’t think that I would actually pursue this and it feels great that I am really going to pursue this!!

    GRE 21 months ago

OK, so I’ve researched the GRE as step 1. It doesn’t appear too terribly difficult but we’ll see how the scoring goes. Study for the test is step 2. Take the test is step 3. Interview with admissions counselor is step 4. Take extra / required prep classes in statistics and other advanced math classes is step 5.
