My MA thesis – without it I cannot get my degree. I feel overwhelmed at times because it seems like it is such a big task. I know – start slow and build up, but I haven’t even chosen the topic – just the big one, not the specific one and I am not sure how to do it. Everything seems interesting and boring at once. But I am determined to do it. The thing is I am doing it for two reasons: getting my degree and because it’s interesting. These two alone should keep me in it, right? By this time next year, I will have finished it! I can think about that! Have to plan out the year now…
How to write my MA thesis
How I did it: I tried to write a little every day, or whenever I had time. Then I would read and re-read what I wrote, and see if it made sense the next day. Basically, kept at it whenever I could.
Lessons & tips: Write as much as you can - it's easier to take stuff out, than to have to put it in. Edit your work. Read for details one day, then speed read another day. Try to see it from many perspectives.
Resources: Just my advisor, my family, especially my mom.
