How I did it: I took a java programming class, and for my final project, I decided to write a fairly complicated Single User Dungeon. It was sheer hell. Also, I started overthinking everything and adding all sorts of fancy pointless details. In retrospect, I probably should have finished the basic framework before adding fancy narration and things like that. I’m thinking of a side-scrolling MMO game. The game would have a top view map so that a large world can be experienced. The player would control at least 2 creatures (one of them humanoid, the other a pet?). Players have a vehicle—firstly to travel and also to hide in. The playing world is dominated by aggressive exotic plants which would have to be fought in order to collect supplies to operate and maintain the vehicle and also to build improvements to the vehicle.
The gameplay should be co-operative (several players helping to overcome a computer-controlled enemy) and also depend on planning and time management. more later…

I suppose this goal should read “make another, better computer game”. The ones I’ve made or collaborated in making are not quite the standard I would like.
Perhaps learning Java would be the next logical step?
i want to make a computer game but here i am.after searching for 4 to 6 months i found this site!Man i should’v done this befor.
