Serastar loves lazy Sundays
A few summers back, I was in Iowa for a Unitarian Universalist church conference. The food at the camp was awful. In fact, it was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Folks were going out each day and into town to eat out, which really messed up the space. It was such a shame that food couldn’t be a center of the community (not this year! I’m kitchen staff!)
Rob and I had found an amazing co-op. Really, I purchased soooo much beautiful food from this little place. There was nothing like it. In a way, we were running our own little black market, an underground grocery.
Among the food were Colorado organic peaches. I bought twelve, I could have eaten a hundred. I would sneek up to people and produce a pair from my pocket and we’d eat them like childern with the juices running down our hands and faces. But I remeber eating the last one with Rob, it was perfect. Perfect.
