I just decided that I’m going to do this during the Christmas holidays. Hopefully I’ll be able to do it with a couple of good friends.

How I did it: My girlfriend mentioned to me that she'd never seen the films, and we had nothing better to do so I agreed that we'd sit and watch the whole thing on DVD. We got some snacks and sat through it.Apart from the eye candy, the fact that Tolkien was a good, albeit somewhat verbose writer, and some of the comic relief, Lord of the Rings has been something of a one hit wonder with me. Seeing the whole thing in one sitting was the final nail in t… Read how I did it…

How I did it: sat down and watched them all, and in subsequent days watched the commentaries. all of the commentaries. I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO USE SO MANY CHARACTERS fascists. there isnt even a character counter. Read how I did it…

How I did it: My dad loves these movies, and that's all he wanted to do for his birthday. so me, my 2 sisters and my brother got him the extended boxset for his birthday. we made sure there would be no interuptions (mobiles, landline etc.), bought loads of junk food and sat down to watch them. Dorkbot is reeling.
How I did it: I watched them all with my 5-year-old son. Obviously, his patience is pretty short, but we managed with lots of breaks and loads of junk food. It wasn't all entirely consecutive, as we had a few interruptions, but it's probably as good as it's going to get for a few more years. We'll definitely do it again, though. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Organized a when and where with my friends and brothers, then got together and watched them all in a row. I've done this several times; it never gets old or boring. Read how I did it…

Amy Taylor has been working harder to work towards her goals.
Watch all three Lord of the Rings in one day
- Firstly i think lots of food that is easy to grab is a must. Pre-packed sandwiches, bottles of Cola, Sweets and then enough money to order pizza in the night.
- Its rougly around 9-10 hours sitting there so i think sitting down and starting around 12 – 1 would be a good idea so it doesnt run too far into the night.
- Have friends around me. I know Daniel and Stewart would totally be up for it.
So i will deffo do this goal soon. Maybe not this week but the next.
The day I came back from my honeymoon in Las Vegas, my wife was wiped out and went to bed. I decided to do this, taking breaks between films.
Josh ...and life just rolls on like a river.
I think they are awesome movies (and an even better fantasy series in book form). I’m going to save this for a cold winter day, make a big pot of chili or soup, have a few friends over, and make a day of it.
I just ordered a box set with all three extended versions. As soon as it arrives, I will be able to finally complete this goal. :-)
for three years now and still haven’t done it. I was going to today, but the amount of housework waiting for me, plus a meeting I was supposed to be at (and missed) have all tangled up. Maybe I can catch up enough for next weekend. Harlan will be home tomorrow and I don’t know if he’d be up to it.
My sister and I have been planning to do this since last year. It seems we can never decide on a day when we both have nothing to do (sad I know). Usually when we really do have nothing to do, we end up doing other things together! Just hanging out etc.
Now that I’ve made this an actual goal…I’m gonna make her work towards this! Grr…also, she’s getting married in July. I’m determined to do this before then, because it’ll never be the same. I know this for a fact, as we have three other siblings that are married. Gonna check my calendar ASAP!
Jodie is living life, hopefully to the fullest.
So today’s first attempt was a huge FAIL. So I am doing it again, this time with a friend who won’t make me do arts’n crafts somewhere else and will keep me up.
Jodie is living life, hopefully to the fullest.
This is going to be a hard goal to accomplish I have the feeling. I am two hours in and already I have been asked to do arts’ncrafts today with a friend. Too bad none of my friends are really into LOTR, this might have been easier to do with less distractions.
