How to spend an entire day watching the extended version of all three Lord of the Rings movies back-to-back-to-back

How I did it: My boyfriend and I made a giant bag of popcorn and nuzzled up on the couch to watch eleven hours worth of pure Middle-Earth happiness. Between DVDs we walked around like Ents and reenacted as much Legolas/Gimli dialogue as possible. Afterwards, we took a nap. How I did it: Got up at 9am, started watching with some friends. Took breaks in between the films for showers/food etc. but only short toilet stops in the middle of the films. The last film was by far the toughest, and we did all go a bit crazy, but as the last credits rolled, I couldn't help but say "Who wants to watch the extras?" Read how I did it…

How I did it: First of all, good luck watching so may hours of Tolkienish bliss while the person you share the couch with keeps on discovering that the hobbits are gay and pointing out inadvertencies and factual mistakes. All right, I'm joking, it was great fun even with the snappy commentator on my side (partly because I love to comment on movies too). for three years now and still haven’t done it. I was going to today, but the amount of housework waiting for me, plus a meeting I was supposed to be at (and missed) have all tangled up. Maybe I can catch up enough for next weekend. Harlan will be home tomorrow and I don’t know if he’d be up to it.

My sister and I have been planning to do this since last year. It seems we can never decide on a day when we both have nothing to do (sad I know). Usually when we really do have nothing to do, we end up doing other things together! Just hanging out etc.
Now that I’ve made this an actual goal…I’m gonna make her work towards this! Grr…also, she’s getting married in July. I’m determined to do this before then, because it’ll never be the same. I know this for a fact, as we have three other siblings that are married. Gonna check my calendar ASAP!

This is going to be a hard goal to accomplish I have the feeling. I am two hours in and already I have been asked to do arts’ncrafts today with a friend. Too bad none of my friends are really into LOTR, this might have been easier to do with less distractions.

going to do this last week during spring break, then decided to hold off until Friday (I don’t have classes on Fridays) but then got caught up doing resumes and job application. So my next destined date is this upcoming weekend, since I won’t be having any visitors. Either Friday or Saturday.Actually I don’t have class on Thursday either so maybe then?

Just need to ditch something as I’ve reached 43 goals. This seems like the only one that is purely for fun and has no real personal gain associated with it. Still planning on doing it, just not in the realm of 43 Things.
I would just delete it but I’m not a quitter.
