tour a ghost town

Weston has absolutely nothing to recommend it. Nothing picture-worthy, no ruins, nothing. Just a bunch of overgrowth and part of a train track.

I really did have something in mind more like the old-west ghost & boom towns, so was sorely disappointed. The spawnling & the Mister had a great time plowing through what may have been old streets and just generally horsing around.

After going hunting for blue agates with the spawnling this weekend (his birthday present from the Mister and I), we’re going to visit that ghost town on the way home.

According to the website ghosttowns.com, I’ve already spent time touring a ghost town. Port Gamble. However, since that was well before I turned 30, I’m going to leave it on the list.

Luckily, there’s a place called “Melmont” not far from where my parents are currently living. We’re planning to head up there sometime this summer.
