I’m a maldivian,
I completed my school days after studying for long ten years in 1994. In 1995 i achieved GCE O’ Level certificate (University of London)and earn a B(b)grade in history and still in 2004 i achieved GCE O’ Level certificate (University of Cambridge)and attain a D(d)grade in english language. After that, i plan to join the legal field and accomplish one year advanced course in Shar’ah and Law in 2008. Now i’ve got the chance to complete my four year llb course which starts on february 2009. the said course is designed with common law subjects and islamic law subjects.
And still it’s very difficult to live in a developed world without knowing english language. and more than this, i find english language a very fascinating and interesting with all kinds of information available in any subject with huge numbers.
now i have made a habbit learning and reading english stories and news, and made a interest in reading novels and stories written by Sidney Sheldon and khalil Gibran to name few.
For all these reasons i’ve decided to learn and master the language one way or the other. to do so, i’ve decided to follow slowly and gradually, hence, now i want to do the CAE but with the guidence of you people.
so it’s my humble request to show me the right path to do so.
god bless you people.

How I did it: I signed up for a course. I know English enough to pass it, but I was able to review my knowledge and learn some more. Besides my employer paid for it, so it wouldn't be smart not to do it Read how I did it…

One of my colleagues wants to present this exam , so we’re going to study together !!!!!!!!
I did the exams! Now I just have to wait for the results. Still more than one month. But I think I´ll pass. Fingers crossed!
So I made my registration and in December I will have 2 big days because the exam is too big to be done in only one day. I bought a book of exams, very useful as I could see for the First Certificate in English that I passed in summer. I’m hopeful, just need a C…But if i have more, the better!!
I think this is an important qualification that can help me get a better job but also it’s good to have a good english in general (to communicate with foreigners, watch films without subtitles, read books in English). So I hope I can do it in December 2008. :)

Finally I’ve got the money to pay for the exam.I’ll be presenting it on December, I have to study hard because I want an excellent grade.
I went on a preparing course for this test at my school. I was so close not to dare taking the test, but my parents supported me. And guess what! I did it! I even passed on level B which was an huge bonus! The certificate is valid forever and now I can study abroad if I want to! Once again thousands of thanks to my parents who believed in me!
I am so proud of myself!
