I think I may have pulled it off…
...I just got my present employer to agree to adjust my schedule in such a way that I am free to accept work on a on-call basis from the government _and continue to work and earn a full-time salary.
The gov’job has a higher per hour rate but is casual and on-call untill I manage to accumulate about ten-weeks of work, then I can apply for a full time job that is no-stress, has a pension, regular annual increases, more holiday time…
at the same time another position I applied for a few months back has asked me to submit further information…
...It’s good to have options, oppurtunities but you have to make them for yourself.
examiner said it was obviously easy for me, had no reservations about my driving at all.(jack is an excellent driver), I asked him if he could put it in wrighting so’s I could show the lady.
I have a road and eye test for what may potentialy be ‘an oppurtunity’.
Not sure though if it’s worth persuing. Inorder to get full-time you first have to complete a minimum of 450 hours on-call casual. If I can work it around my current job though it might be worth working myself silly in the short-term.
Better though would be the other position I applied for, the one which recently contaced me (months after I originally applied) to ask me to submit further information.
Tonight though it’s back to the grind…
asking for more information.
Just sent off a reply. I had given up on it…
Now though I feel myself getting excited. It’s a good job – it has far better pay, better structure,
The qualifications it calls far I not only possess but exceed: fitness, communication and reason, driving skills, cool-headedness, medical skills…
...only thing is: They would have accept some of the lingering cling of my bad-boy days (long over but the story remains)
tension, tension, tension…
If only they give me a chance to explain…
got to get a new fucking job!
JUST FINISHED TWELVE HOURS OF ABSOLUTE HELL,
scheduled to work every day for three weeks straight.
