save all my change for a year

I’m starting today! I have no idea what I will use the money for yet…vacation?

I’ve been doing this going on 6 years and going strong. I’ve average saving about $300 to $500 a year. Every time I enter my house I immediately put any change in a piggy bank. It was good to have a goal so I could continue to give to my self. This has help me to give wisely to other. He who helps himself, can help others. I heard this somewhere from someone.

my mom bought me a piggy bank last year, and i only started putting my change in it, at the start of the year..(2008)

i hope i wont be tempted to open it until the end of the year. hehe.

gonna use that money for shopping or maybe open a bank account. ^__

We’ve been saving change for over 5 years and finally had enough to take to the bank and buy a $1000 CD!

I am starting this today but I might not make it a year because I will probably use what’s saved up “so far” for my trip to Costa Rica.

I don’t have any spare change at the moment as I use whatever I have to get by.

it’s a nice surprise at the end of the year

I have been doing this for about 5 years. I never spend change, just drop it in my pocket or briefcase. Any loose bills that end up in my pocket go in there too. You just can’t cheat and take any out no matter what. Use it on a trip every year!!!! You will be shocked how much it adds up to. Especially if you stick to not spending any change you receive in the course of a day, save it for the jar.
