We rescued our Great Pyrenese / St. Bernard mix (Lilly) from Gentle Giants Rescue (run by the original “Robin”...you know…Batman & Robin! She is the most precious dog!

I went to the Humane Society but they only had mean dogs… I was too scared to even pick them up… :(

That was the plan but I fell in love with two puppies in the walmart parking lot… They’re adorable.

It would just feel so much better than buying one from a breeder. It’s one billion times more ethical than buying one from a pet store (which I would never do anyway…) and a lot cheaper than both!

Sunshine was getting a bit lonely during the day, so we got her a friend. Max is the newest addition to the family. He was an abused rescue dog (from doggie rescue) who was very shy at first. Now he has really opened up and is such a happy little dog. The two dogs look EXACTLY alike, but I don’t know if they are related or not. With rescue dogs there’s no knowing where they came from. I’m so in love with both the puppies! Please, if you are considering getting a dog, give a rescue dog a chance. They are so appreciative at being given a second chance at life (or a first chance really, because they didn’t have much of a life beforehand). You won’t regret it!

My dog is from a rescue centre and he coudnt be more perfect for me or my family. When your thinking of buying an animal go to your local pound or rescue centre, not the pet shop.
You won’t regret it.
