Learn to read tarot

One card a day, and at least one spread a week.

I’ve found out from my brother that the Tarot deck WAS his. The story goes that someone gave it to him as a joke present when he was about 16… he’s now 22. I’ve NEVER known that he had this until now.

It’s probably never been used. It looks pristine. I feel better about using it now.

So I’ve had this in my give up but secretly for later stash, however, I was given a Tarot deck today. This fits that little urban myth that you should never buy a deck & one should always be given. I mention this despite not being a believer of that theory. I have bought myself a similar sort of oracle deck and it has only been wonderful.

But I digress. This deck was in with a bunch of things that my brother was going to toss out. The bunch was with my Mother & she went through it & found the deck, thinking I might like it.

Well yes I do BUT this used to belong to somebody & I doubt it was actually my brother. If it was his I would be highly surprised~!

So now… I am trying to track down the owner…

If nothing else, this set of circumstances has brought me back to this goal. We will see what develops. I won’t use the deck till I know it’s origin & if I find the owner & they want it, I will return it. :)

I’ve tried many times to “learn” tarot…This is my third deck…it is like no other I’ve ever had…..What a connection….so much easier.

After I make the bed, I just lay out a basic Cross spread. I use a book to refer to all of the cards I draw, trying to learn that way.

i was at a store with my friend and her boyfriend where they had all sorts of tarot, wiccan, egyptian, buddhist, etc. things. when i told gary i wanted to learn to read tarot eventually he got all excited and decided to “sponsor” me in learning (aka i am poor right now and i am gonna pay him back asap). so he paid for my cards. i am super excited to learn now.

It would be cool.

Need to practice.

I took a class several years ago, but never did much with it. I recently started playing around with them. I want to learn more.

i bought a deck and have been practicing…its fun and i hope to learn more about it as time goes by…
