How I did it: I got good grades in my undergraduate institution and won a fellowship which paid for my tuition and living expenses in grad school. While I was a grad student, with the exception of the first semester, I was unemployed. It gave me more time to study and really absorb the material. Read how I did it…

How I did it: choose a course you really want to do and know why you want to do it. If you are spending your lifetime saving to do this, make sure it is worth it. Or at least it pays back. Being a married woman with children, it can be tougher as your committment will increase. Men always see that they have the options about the kids..irrelevant wherever he comes from. Time management is very important othereise you may lose your head in the proce… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I went to an in-state university and got enough credits to transfer to my acupuncture school where I got my joint B.S. Nutrition and M.S. Oriental Medicine. I took out a lot of school loans to pay for it while also working to make enough to support myself financially out of school as I had to live on my own. I also made sure I had a lot of fun ... maybe too much, but you have to relieve the tension sometimes. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I found a degree I wanted to complete, and registered for it. Then I just put in the time, put in the work. It took a lot of studying, a lot of homework, and a lot of late evenings. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I applied and worked hard. The 4 hour daily commute was a killer. It was worth it, though. I was able to get a job related to my field (though not exactly my field... yet...) within 4 months.Furthermore, I met both friends and colleagues who have helped me greatly, and who will probably continue to help me in my career. The thesis should be finished and returned by Christmas. I should have all the necessary courses done by March 2010 which would be the deadline for this project.
I work for a health care information systems company. I would like to earn a master’s in one of the following three degrees:
Health Care Leadership – Friends University
Health Care Informatics – University of Illinois in Chicago (Online)
Project Management – Keller Graduate School
I may consider getting the Master’s in Health Care Leadership and then adding a Master’s certificate in the other two concentrations.
I am at the point in my career that I want to move to a more challenging and rewarding level of work.
effekt choking on his alibis, but it's just the price i pay...
maybe because this stuff actually does interest me, maybe because i’ve learned a lot of it already as an undergrad, but only a week in and i’m finding myself obsessed with the subject matter and probably a bore to talk to… but i’m enjoying it, dammit! :D
kitart is sooooooooooo happy its the weekend.
I’ve been accepted into a Master’s program. Woohoo! It is for school librarian media specialist. I’m going to have to get yet more student loans to pay for it, but it will be worth it. The extra money for having a Master’s degree and also if it means I can get out of the classroom. Besides all that, having my MASTER’S degree! Wonderful. Two years approx to get it done.
I have to do 2 ten minute talks next week about topics that I don’t understand, and the marks I get will be 15% of both modules…Aaaaaargh!

I’m five weeks into the Fall semester. I’ve already got a year done, and I’ve established what my practicum will be. I just need to buckle down and plow through. May 16th is my intended graduation date. Now I just need to get my ducks in a row, so I can walk.
What will I do with my Master’s of Science in Tech and Prof Comm? Who knows. Perhaps I should add “Figure out what to do with my degree” to my 43Things.
I’m currently in school for the Masters of Public Administration program, and I have until December 2010.
Started the journey towards higher education 6 years ago. Got my AAS in 2005, my BA in 2007, and have 2 more classes to go to get my Master’s in Counseling Studies at Capella University. I will be 60 years old. So far, I have a 4.0 grade point average. I’m really tired of school and hoping I can keep the grade point up, but I’m really exhausted. I am hoping once I have my MS degree in March that I can teach at our local community college. I’m debating whether to go on and get my doctorate; if somebody else would pay for it, I might do it, but at this point I’ll have such a huge student loan that I might not get it paid off before I die!

“Is it hard to get in to London Universities? (f.e.Royal College of Art or University College) And if you're able to get a place, can you live a normal life without working like hell to pay off student loans etc?”
