In the spirit of eating healthy, I have decided to cut back on my alcohol consumption. I will keep to a strict two drink minimum at every social gathering for the next two months. I feel as if alcohol has played both positive and negative roles in my life, and now I must say goodbye. I’m giving myself a two month trial run. We’ll see where it goes from there.

this is the goal I am having more success with. I scheduled a physical with my doctor and discovered my blood pressue is too high. 136/90. This week the girl and I have been eating at home and eating more veggies and fruits. I am trying to limit carbs and processed foods. I have also begun walking for an hour a day with moderate success. My sleep schedule is returning to a 7 hour night, but I routinely wake up early and can’t go back to sleep. I’m thinking of using a sleep aid.

I really want to become physically active everyday for at least an hour. I need to improve my body’s physical health. I live a sedentary lifestyle and it’s destroying both my mind and my body. I have a gym membership, all I need to do is go. This will be my hardest accomplishment yet.

My goal’s specifics:
walk everyday for an hour
workout at the gym three days a week
everyday eat more veggies, fruits, healthy meats, no junk, no candy, no ice cream, no soda
Find one enjoyable physical activity, maybe
get 8 to 7 hours of sleep every night

If I can do these things with relative success for 3 months I will call this goal “completed” on 43things. It won’t end there.

Phase Two 2 years ago

This is what I’ve done, bought some whey protein and hope to take that for atleast two months. Also, I am now increasing my cardi time to 4 minutes, 5 minutes intensive and 40 at medium speed. This should get the results.



Change of diet required definitely. 2 years ago

I need to rework my current diet around working/gyming/socialising. So here are the suggestions:

On the days I go to the gym, I need a hearty meal before and after, suggestions would be a good breakfast of Special K, Banana and another fruit perhaps. Alternatively, scrambled eggs and toast.

On days that I work, it can be assumed the free weights will not be in use and therefore a light breakfast and one meal a day is the best policy. Therefore fruits and special K and then a well-balanced second meal later.

No more snacking until September unless I am snacking on fruits and so forth.

Second session into 2007’s membership. I’m forcing myself to do all the exercises in the programme properly, fuck it hurts. However, no pain, no gain. This should go on for three months and then I will resume it when I move out.



What this is all about... 3 years ago

So I have basically bastardized the whole point I think of this site and am using it as a blog ;), too bad I find the blog entries much more interesting then progress reports anyways, as long as the entry is relative to the topic. So why did I add this Thing to my 43Things account? good questions, answered provided via my six-pack entries were strayin too far from sixpack land, so this can be for my more generalized body related entries. So just to re-cap on where I stand in terms of physical fitness (this will be good for me cause I don’t really pay attention too often [i do but i have horrible memory] so this sound be interesting to see where I am.

Attend a gym min 5 days per week, daily protein intake of close to 185 grams per day [almost 1:1], Currently weigh 185lbs, was fit testd like 20 weeks ago and had bodyfat index of 23% (I’m sure this has dropped as i don’t have a lifestyle that is anything similar to how I was living when I was in college. I take boxing classes like every second week, and actually signed up today for 4 personal training sessions with some certified dude at the gym, so I get four one hour sessions, I want to focus mainly on legs {I neglect my legs big time, and as such, need to balance out the whole body}, it would probably be nice to touch base on tris, back and chest too, we’ll see. I was trying QB-3, but I think I’m too sensative to caffine so I stoped taking them as i was getting ultra edgy. I try to get in two cardio days a week, doing 45 mins of cardio for each, on the 5 days i hit the gym usually I do 15 minutes of cardio followed by 45 mins lifting weight.

My goal—> I want a balanced body with a ripped six pack. I want nice arms, big shoulders, everything in proportion. I’m working f&*King hard for this, so I hope I acheive it. I’ve taken some advice from my peers on here, and stuff from my brother, friends and trained professionals, oh and of course all mighty google. I let my body go to shit there for many years while I was in school, and now that I’m done I’m ready to win this war. I guess i’ve been serious since january 2006.
