Ok, so I thought that being an I.T. expert would be cool. They always get called upon to save the world against extremely intelligent aliens that want to blast the world. However, I have encountered a few hiccups:
1) I am not taking this seriously
2) I don’t know what a tag is
I really would to know. When I say tag I mean those words that are on the right side of most people screens with words in them. Why are mine small while other 43Thingers have huge prettier ones? The explanation that is given is either too high tech for this future expert or doesn’t make sense to anybody. I’m thinking the former. So, does anybody have a low tech explanation?

I wanna know something. I like to read so maybe a literature expert. That’s way too complicated though, maybe an IT expert. I’ll be an expert and not tell everyone and they’ll think I know nothing and then an astroid will fly into earth and the world will need an expert and I’ll come in and save the day and people will be shocked. I’ll be kajillionaire and I’ll save the environment and I’ll bring about world peace. Yes I want to be an IT expert. It’s on baby!

I’ve always wanted to be so knowledgeable in one thing so that if asked any question about it, I can give a detailed, correct, intelligent answer. An expert at anything really…cooking, writing, criminology, music, yoga…

Everything I decide to make part of my life, I want to be an expert at. I don’t think I ever have an excuse to do anything I say I’m committed to in a half-assed way, although I find myself contriving excuses quite frequently – out of laziness, fear, misdirection, lack of determination, or whatever. This is unfortunate, but isn’t 43things the right place to start making the necessary changes?
I want to be an expert at playing the violin – to master my bowing technique, to be able to combine impeccable technique with musicality.
I want to be an expert on one person – to know the sound of their footsteps, what makes them truly laugh, know their fears, hopes, insecurities, and passions.
I want to be an expert in some field – to be passionately devoted to, say, literature, or transnational corporations, and to be able to connect the subject to what makes us truly human.
I want to be an expert communicator – to be able to speak in a way that moves others, that makes them understand how the trivial things I am talking about make up part of a larger human experience. To communicate that everything is important, and to show them how.
I want to be an expert at everything, really. But so far, these will have to do.

I am great at Ruby and C++. I have other skills but none compared to these ones.

You can be an expert in anything. I just need to work out what takes my fancy. Perhaps tyre swan art or ivory buttons. So many options yet so few are appealing…

I was the Head of the Cheese Shoppe at my local grocery store and I’d still be in the field if it wasn’t for the fact that most of the stores around here are chain stores and have no respect for the art.
