    I’m a lot stronger than I realized.
I think the key to adapting is acceptance.
Accept whatever curveballs are thrown your way and use all your knowledge to cope and even thrive.

I guess you can say I ‘adapted’ to the single life again. It’s definetly hard at first, but it’s the right thing for me right now.

I think the biggest change I need to overcome is moving out, for good, and gaining a sense of independence.

I think I’ve been doing pretty good at this, but I could be better. I need to adapt in many ways. Adapt to any changes in my job, adapt to my college courses, adapt to new relationships, adapt to living at home for now. I think this requires a calm and confident approach. I find myself taking deep breaths when I feel anxious or stress from my schedule. That’s another thing, my schedule is packed and this is the busiest I’ve ever been in my life…that’s hard for a sedentary, not entirely motivated person.

I need to take each day at a time. Small managable steps, that may be the key to adapting successfully.

dealing with change 3 years ago

up on my wall at the moment i have a reminder to how i can grow with change, and therefore adapt:

”...grant me the serenity to accept the things i can’t change; courage to change the things i can; and the wisdom to know the difference.”

it helps me feel at peace… it helps me recognise my own power… it helps me feel optimistic about the future…

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.—Charles Darwin

the amoeba mantra 4 years ago

live simply, absorb what helps you grow, explore new opportunities, become one with your space, go with the flow

my life is a constant but unpredictable flux. it’s a nice kind of chaos. i cant control it. but i can adapt. i just need to learn to be one with change – and make like a funky amoeba ;)

Vent frustration safely 4 years ago

Man! Everything is pissing me off today…. arghhhhh… I just feel like throwing things around the room!!! My usual avenues to vent frustration involve talking to close friends or playing sports. But I dont have the luxury of either at the mo… all I can do is write successive “arrgggghhhhh’s” on 43T… does anyone else get so pissed off with things you feel like slamming doors, throwing things, kicking walls and bopping life on the nose for being such a right royal inconsiderate pain in the proverbial???

argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh argggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!

[apologies to the nice robot co-ops for wasting valuable hard drive space with repition of a four letter word, i feel better now]
