I have a chart on the fridge door which lists all the things I want to do and I am doing between 30% and 90% each week …definite progress…..
People doing this are also doing these things:

Yes, I hear how wonderful it has been when people have hired me. I cannot convince my hubby to let me hire out my own housekeeper. However when I come home the LAST thing I want to do is clean! I need some serious motivation here. Right now I’m procrastinating and a book would have me do the same. I think focusing on how nice and relaxing my home will be after it is cleaned helps. The bottom line is we all know how to clean and what to use, but just don’t wanna!
I go to school full-time and have already cleaned two, 2500 sq. ft. houses today. Mine is small in comparison, I’m dragging but need to CLEAN MORE! Okay somebody kick my behind and get me motivated!
Cathy H. is hardly working!
I got that mammoth Martha Stewart Book about caring for everything in your house and it has a schedule of when to clean things… I’ve been really keeping up with the weekly cleaning chores, as a result. The hardest part for me is the daily chores. This week, I hope to do them every day… we’ll see if I can do it.
I’ve got to make the bed, sweep the kitchen floor, clean as I cook, go through the mail, and work on clearing clutter each day… I can do it!!!
Removing this one, since I’ve got the fly lady routines thing and it’s duplicating the same thing… still plugging away though ;)
I am having problems doing this. I don’t like cleaning. It’s too dirty! LOL! Another issue is that I have not settled on what type of cleaning supplies to use. I want to bleach, but it gives me asthma so I make my boyfriend do the bleaching once a week. I actually want to only use earth and asthma friendly cleansers, like baking soda, borax, vinegar and such. I’ve tried vinegar in the past, but I fear that it will let too much bacteria grow. Some studies have shown vinegar and baking soda are not as good and killing bacteria as regular ones. I guess some cleaning with an imperfect cleanser is better than rarely cleaning with a perfect one.
OMG hiring a housekeeper was the best thing Ive done!!!! Shes wonderful! I love her!!!!!
I hate cleaning with a passion and would like to get to the stage where things are semi clean so I don’t have to spend hours cleaning it all in one go or dread the thought of someone popping over. So far have managed to put the dishes in the dishwasher for the last few days and cleaned the shower while I was having one – hey, I figure I’m killing two birds with one stone
because my boyfriend is not woking much at the moment, he does all the household chores. I hate cleaning the house, especially the washing up. but i should do more, shouldn’t I? promised boyfriend would do wash up but it is still in the sink. supernatural powers can’t do anything against wash up. despair!
do a massive clean monthly (or bi-monthly), and clean up after myself as regularly as possible. do the dishes each night.
