In a misguided attempt to force myself closer to actually moving past the third page, I bought this giant “Ulysses Annotated” at Borders. (Hey, at least it was on sale…) I have in my hands 643 pages of notes in a two-collumn-per-page format. Looking at it now, though, it is actually making me want to put off starting a little longer. Sigh.

I’m not really big on doing things “just because you’re supposed too, but I think I really have to give this a try. I’m guessing that it’s not going to be a nice slim summer read that I can tote around with me, and from the accounts I’ve read, I’ll probably also have to invest in the Cliff’s notes just to understand it.
P.S. I’m told it’s a good idea to avoid the first part of the book and just pluge into somewhere
