Cabbage’s grave.
I’m just waiting for an opportune moment to install it on the sly. :D I may have to settle for when both are at work.

Stickss well we get along...
i need gnomes! (donations very well appreciated..)
ahahha
at a yard sale. They’re slipcast bisqueware. They look like they’re originally santas or wisemen or something, but if I paint them right they’ll be gnomes instead. :D
More Gnomes! These things are expensive and none in yard sales recently. Till I have them, I started another goal. I got a ceramic dog, put a collar on it with dog tags, and am placing it in random yards around the area. Then when people hopefully call me about it, I am going to act like he ran away and we are so happy. Both of my kids will ride with me to pick it up and they will love all over it.
Fun :)
Not the safest goal I have every taken on living in the hills with some superstitious and different people lol. Thanks sharing it! I live so far out in the woods, the neighbors (a couple miles away) dont even know who we are. I am thinking of placing them in a neighbors yard. Then when one disappears, place 2 just a little closer to the house. Would be great to embed a wireless cam to see the reaction lol.

The gnome I put in RuthAnn and Don’s yard has been conscripted into guarding their raspberry bushes from pesky grackles. Here’s the pic, Sabryn :)

And he emailed me this morning about it. Apparently he thought it was pretty funny. Good. You never know which friends have a sense of humor and which don’t ‘til you’ve gnomed them. I’ll take a pic of the gnome next door guarding the raspberry bushes and post it soon.
Let’s see…whom shall I gnome next???
Who knows when to say who and when to say whom? That’s always confused me. I generally reserve whom for times when I want to sound pretentious. That’s probably not the grammatically correct way to determine which word is appropriate though.

I did this a few weeks ago when my next door neighbors were gone. It was really funny for them b/c Don is a professor in the architecture department and they live on a busy street near the University. I suspect lots of people were wondering why a family with such a beautiful house would proudly display such a Gawd-awful ugly gnome on the front lawn. Or, better yet, why their architecture prof, whose favorite saying is “Less is more” is sporting such tacky yard art.
It kinda backfired though. After they got home (they knew immediately that I put it out there – I don’t know how) they hid it in my yard for a few days. But then they retrieved it and put it in front of their raspberry bushes, where it’s doing a fantastic job of keeping the birds from eating all the berries.
Maybe function DOES follow form, after all.
I’m watching my friend, Tom’s, dog tomorrow. I think I’ll get another ugly gnome and put it in his front yard while he’s gone. He’ll get a kick out of it. They have the fancy manicured lawn, too. It’ll make the neighbors wonder, at least.
