Find the perfect wedding dress

i put the down payment on it today.

the funny thing is…

its the dress in the picture i posted, and i didnt even realize it until i had filled all the info out to purchase it. ironic?

i went wedding dress shopping this weekend, and i was trying on a TON of dresses. then finally i put on a dress that was just amazing!! when someone says you know when you try it on… YOU KNOW. i was so excited. so i went to the front of the store to fill out the info…and what do you know….it was the dress in THAT pic that i posted in my last entry…and i didnt even realize it until i was filling out the info for the dress. i thought it was ironic. haha.

something really really lacey and detailed…strapless…and not too poofy but not too flat. kinda in the middle.

Okay, I thought dress shopping was going to be a LOT more fun than it was! I got a lot of attitude from the attendants in a lot of the dress shops. The looks of disgust on their faces when I told them that the wedding was in August…! Mostly they told me that it would take 6-8 months to have a dress specially made, and that they couldn’t help me, and I’d left it too late and should have started looking much earlier.
Hello, we only got engaged 2 months ago!
Anyway, I found a lovely dress shop where the owner served me and did everything possible to help – she sold me a dress from the rack that fitted perfectly so won’t need any alterations other than the hem taken up, and even took $500 off the price which put it right in my budget.
I love it, it reminds me of the dress Cinderella wore in the Disney cartoon! (well, it did til I google image-searched a pic of it!)
Yay, happy to cross this goal off the list!

120 days til the wedding and I’m going dress shopping tomorrow!

I’ve always wanted a really puffy dress (tastefully puffy that is!) but I’m not sure how that will work with my body shape. I’m looking forward to trying them all on!

I finally bought a dress. Finally. What seemed like I tried on a crazy number of dresses to where they all ultimately looked the same, I finally found and bought a dress I really liked. Geez…so much thinking rolled into one day!

I’ve tried on too many dresses now and so far nothing I’ve truly liked. The last dress I tried on my friends thought it was awesome and I was the only one who wasn’t convinced. Now, even though I live in a huge city, the dress I found that I truly like is only availble at least 3 hours away! Like I said…almost! Wish me luck, especially everyone’s saying how I need to get a dress soon because it takes a long time for it to come in and all the alterations!

It was made for me. It was the first one I liked in the catalog and the first one I tried on. It fit perfectly and only neeeded to be hemmed up a little. I felt so beautiful.

I found my perfect dress from Maggie Sottero, hopefully I checked Alfred Angelo before buying it. I bought the same dress from A. Angelo $200 less.
And I had a perfect wedding day, and the pictures are just great and I feel very good about the dress.
