fix up an old house

... and I don’t have any skills that would make me a likely candidate for a remodeling job… or a painting job even. Or a sweeping up after the remodelers are done kind of job… Anyway, I’m sure that I could learn some beginning kind of things through volunteering, but February in Michigan isn’t really the best time of year to volunteer for construction stuff, and I don’t really have the motivation at the moment anyway.

Unless I am the one going to live in the house and have the final decision on things, it just isn’t worth it. Perhaps I need more experience like working on a habitat for humanity house. Something to think about. Someday.

It is nearly completed, at least structurally. Cosmetically, it is up to the person (my stepdaughter) to fix it up. She is doing the painting, finally. She wants to choose the colors and the decor. I said fine. Her father and I have spent a mint fixing the plumbing, wiring, heating this little house. She can pay and do the rest.
