Not black, just dead.  — 7 months ago

Worth doing!

This happens to me every so often, from lots of running and otherwise being very active. It is a little frustrating, but another one developed recently. I took it off today, finally! There is always a little toenail growing underneath, when they fall off. Wierd. I will spare you all the photographs ;-)

Running!  — 11 months ago

My toenail went black after doing lots of running (not wearing proper running shoes) – it went wobbly (like a tooth – urgh) and then I finally pulled it off after it kept catching on things.

Only have skin now and a teeny bit of new nail – very hard to paint your toenails!!!

Dropping off.  — 11 months ago

Not worth it!

This happened to me more than once. The first time I got an infection below the toenail, and the doctor had to pull it. The other time I dropped a dinner plate on my foot, and it went black and fell off. It’s interesting to see the new ones growing back, but it’s better to have everything stay on.

I’ve lost a fingernail or two as well.

About half of the nail  — 12 months ago

has returned to a regular toenail color, so I don’t think I’m going to lose it after all.

Not worth it!

was when Berta, Kathy and I were all dressed up for our 40th B-days and I was wearing my super high heels. I lost 6 toe nail from all of the walking we did. That was odd, it took forever for all of them to grow back in!

Not worth it!

I was wearing rental roller skates that had the size written in big red letters on the back. I didn’t want everyone to know that I wore an 8 1/2 ( I was 5-3 and weighed about 80 lbs. when I was 12. My mom called me Olive Oyl)so got a much smaller size. My big toe nail fell off.

Flirt is as corny as Kansas in August! is trying to convince Rosie to come back to 43T!
