Yes, so two nights ago I was folding my laundry nicely and hanging my shirt in my closet. I placed a pair of pants on the hanging shelf in my closet (I have no dresser) when suddenly I hear a crack and the whole thing comes crashing down. My clothes are in a heap on the floor my shoe rack has collapsed, and I am just confused. I check it out, and it turns out the cheap plastic used to hold the bar in my closet up cracked and fell, allowing the bar to fall with it. And, I’m just going to say, I really have very few clothes. Soo, I went to the store and bought a new metal bar-holder but I can’t properly attach it to the wall without a drill. Who has a drill? Well, no one I know, I can tell you that. So, I’m here, stuck without a closet and unsure of what to do with my heaps of clothing on the floor – all on hangers so they’re even more in the way. What is the secret to getting screws in a 2×4 without a dumb drill? I tried hammering them but only could get them so far and attempting to screw them just hurt my hand. It is really just no good..
How to fix my closet
How I did it: I bought some nails so I could hammer them in for the screws, however they still wouldn't screw in. It took me a long time to figure out that I could just use nails instead of the screws the pole-holders came with to hold them up. Duh. Now I just have to hang all my clothes back up..
Lessons & tips: yay for using my head.. eventually
Resources: hammer, nails, screw driver, closet holders, stool (I'm short)
