Quite a few years ago my father said that I watched too much TV. Then he said he would pay me 100 dollars to quit TV for a year. Being like 9 or something I thought that was the all the money in the world. I accepted. so there you have it, there’s my story of going without tv for a year. Keep going ridda. i’m actually impressed, when I went without tv for a year I was practically in the corner crying(not really).

It’s been a year and two months now! I am sure I wouldn’t have been able to do nearly as much studying, knitting, and reading as I have if I’d had a tv. I do watch movies on a portable dvd player, but have no idea what’s happening in tv land. No loss, I think.

I have not had a television since I moved to Berkeley last December, so I have a head start on this goal. I do not miss it at all….
