Incredibly, I’m washing by hand now, in my bathtub. Darn washer decided not to spin any more. Poop.

I’m using the four bucket method:1 pre soak 2 real soak (I soak, I don’t scrub) 3 plain water rinse 4 vinegar water rinse (cuts any lingering soap residue, brightens and softens clothes. the smell evaporates as the clothes dry). I wring the clothes between buckets, then hang off the shower rod to drip over night before putting in dryer with 1/4 dryer sheet.

I had to wash my work sweaters, so I’ve got to do more than just one bucket per day until I get to them. I need them for Tuesday morning. 2 years ago
