go to pompeii

I hear through the grapevine that Vesuvious is well overdue for an eruption so it makes sense to get there ASAP before it buries Pompeii again! The thing about Pompeii is I learnt about it at school whilst I was studying Latin and it became really alive in my head thanks to an overactive imagination and seeing those plaster casted bodies that had been frozen in time the moment the ash started to fall! Wow! So I think this one I am going to do next year as time is not a luxury it would seem!

I’ve been to Rome and Venice, on the high school trip, but I never got down around Naples. I travelled to England this past year, and I have to say I’m nervous about travelling in a country where I don’t speak the language (the high school trip had a guide and all, but if I go again I’ll be on my own!)

But Pompeii just sounds so cool.
