"I did not pour enough energy into this goal, but I did not backslide either"
How I did it: I am writing a how I did it entry with this caveat: I didn't really do it. Nor did I not do it.
Here is what I should have done: take advantage of every opportunity to get outside and work up a sweat. That means, decide to go outside and work up a sweat, pretty much no matter what. Unless maybe it is raining torrentially. Seeing as how we are in a drought, I doubt I took full advantage of those opportunities.
The other thing I should have done and need to do is get up 15 minutes earlier and stretch. At 58 this is a big deal, especially at 58 with a job that puts me at a computer all day long, most days.
The good news here is I am in no worse shape than when I began this goal, and that is better than having an extra wad of fat somewhere between my neck and knees.
Lessons & tips: I should have had a buddy to do this with.
Maybe a journal with a record would have helped.
Resources: This site at least kept me moving in the direction of the goal, and that is a very good thing.
