A good work out yesterday 10 months ago

and more to come!

We walked over dunes, and that is steep up and down. We trudged along hidden paths, and traipsed on uneven ground to grab photos of upended trees.

and there were stairs, where and there.

The dog got so tired he curled up in the car and didn’t feel like coming out when we stopped for dinner.

rounding out my top five goals 11 months ago

I am giving this goal some attention, but not all it needs. Last night we did a nice up and downhill walk with the dog through the Christmas neighborhood, but with the colder weather, I am not putting out the effort I need to.

There is a new gym about a mile from here. I am thinking of joining it. Maybe getting a trainer to help me. I will decide soon on this.

If I gave all my goals this little attention 12 months ago

I wouldn’t even be here.

on 43T I mean.

Yesterday I thought about walking for lunch like I used to do almost every day, and haven’t been doing lately, and I thought “what a chore” and set aside the idea. The day was warm and dry – no excuse.

But my work friend came over and said let’s go, and so we did. Better to walk. It wasn’t a chore at all. Silly me.

the only way this is going to happen 13 months ago

I will have to ultra intentional

My hit and miss non-routine of exercise and butt sitting needs to shift to two hours of exercise every day, no matter what.

more tree trimming today 13 months ago

I went alone out to the beach house, as we are finally renting it out, and at the same time, we’re in the midst of tree trimming.

So today I cleaned the spa, bagged trimmings, and trimmed some more.

If I did this regularly, I would be fit indeed. Already I can feel my upper body strength flowing – such a wonderful feeling! Altogether, it was about a four hour work out.

less than half a year to go 13 months ago

and less than half way there on this goal.

I could say the good news is I’m still working on it, and clearly need to step up my attention to what it takes to accomplish it. It’s not something I can pay attention to now and then, but it takes vigilance.

Maybe some sub goals would help. My subgoal this week is to pay attention to the food part, and make lunch and bring it to work. If I don’t bring lunch, lunch will be a healthy smoothy. No more plate lunches in the middle of the day.

this week has been pretty good 17 months ago

considering …

today I did two pretty long walks, not wearing the step counter, but it was probably very close to 10,000 steps. Over 9000 for sure, based on other walks I’ve done.

And the long weekend is coming, and bringing…ta da…walks to the beach!

doing better! 21 months ago

I’m into the small weights. I’ve doubled the amount I walk each day. Still not up to the 10K plus I was doing when I broke my ankle, but for sure at half that, plus!

And guess what – tomorrow is Saturday and my honey is home from his travels, sooooo, time for the big weights in the garage in the morning! And I got him doing the morning routine with me. Success is a happening thing here.

57 is just over a day away 21 months ago

and mahinui is not yet fit.

For my birthday, I am giving myself a routine. I am done with broken ankles, over the flu. The days are getting longer. Most days I wake up where the air is fresh and there are beautiful walks to be had.

Today I used the hand weights, and walked a lot. Tomorrow, more hand weights, more walking.

And there are those big weights in the garage. I am going to ask my honey to help me with a routine with those too.

This is attainable.
