but this time, i am going to mark this as worth doing, because, well it is worth doing, i just haven’t done it yet. i can’t give up or make it not worth doing, so there.
i want goals that are active and pertain to my life RIGHT NOW. i want to be reminded of the things i need to get done immediately, not some future, unplanned reality. Have broad goals is good, but i don’t need any reminder for this. i have wanted to go to crete for years, it won’t go away if i move it off the main list.
rationalizations are awesome.

but I can’t take this one off. I just can’t. It would be like deleting “believe in god” for some people.

It seems hardly right to count it when you were a kid…but I went in 4th grade. It’s beautiful and I’d love to have a cottage in Crete. I’d even get back in an airplane to go!

I have an honest obsession with Thera, Knossos, Crete, and in general Minoan culture. And Atlantis. Which I personally think(and I am supported by many scholars in the area) that the legend of Atlantis is based on Cretian society. (If you want an explanation or anything, respond to this and I will give you an ancient history lesson and be very happy to do it.)
One time I was working at a pizza joint, and I passed out due to heat while pulling pizzas out of the oven. I fell over and cut my neck open on the make line. I was so damn happy when the stitches were finally removed and she scar looked like the island of Thera, with a cresent moon facing a smaller island to the left.
If I don’t complete this goal within my lifetime, I will be very disappointed in myself. I really think that there is something in those islands that will answer the secret questions of reality for me.
