Crosswords and Flashcards 2 years ago

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of crosswords, and I’ve realized how much I already know, which has given my confidence a boost. In addition, every time I come across something that I don’t know about (in a crossword or elsewhere), I put it on a flash card. I plan to start going through those flash cards several times a week. Hopefully that should help improve my knowledge base!

I sort of had a trip back to my old school days this morning.

I’ve actually been studying the Periodic Table…. of elements you know.

It was like a trip down memory lane but I also learned a lot of new things. I mean, human knowledge has expanded a lot since the last time I looked closely at the Periodic Table.

    Try reading…

The Washington Report on Middle East Affairs or Freakonomics or Wired Magazine. Or how about Psychology Today?

There is always more to learn.

I love to read non-fiction. I stop by the bookstore practically everyday and at least do a little skimming and browsing.
