How to learn how to box by Sassy2007

"I learned the basics of boxing."

How I did it: I found a local gym that offered boxing lessons, and went for a few boxing lessons. The instructor taught me the basic stance, and a few punches.

I also learned some new stretches, and exercises to help strengthen my core muscles. For the warm-up, I had to jump rope for at least 10 minutes. During my lessons, I learned the proper way to hold a jump rope, and an efficient way to move my body so that I could keep jumping for several minutes at a time.

It was a great workout!

    Second boxing lesson 5 months ago

    Today was my second boxing lesson. Each lesson is 2 hours total. The first hour is the warm-up, and the second hour is learning how to box. It’s an awesome workout. I feel like my whole body gets a workout, and I’m usually dripping in sweat when I leave the gym.

    I really like learning something new, and getting fit.

    alright sooooo

    i talked to the director at my college and he is going to bring up a boxing class on thursday so hopefully they will approve it.
    i box now anyway with my sister (cause she is a kickboxing instructor) but its not enough to be experienced, so this summer or hopefully this school year illbe able to get better at it :D

    I can kick but on the ground, but as soon as i am standing up, i get embarrassed :( I really want to become a well rounded fighter, and maybe even fight in the UFC or something like that :)

    So I just joined a boxing club. The only thing that worries me is if I go to class at night, I have to walk to and from the metro station in the dark. And this place is not in the best neighborhood. Not the worst, but the not best either. Eh, we’ll see what happens. I mean, how else am I gonna learn?
