Organize My Comics

It took me almost all day to reorganize my comics: setting up the new boxes, moving comics around and shuffling them, taking apart the old boxes…but it’s done, and it looks a little better. I had thought I wouldn’t need to even out the floor, as I thought the carpet would do. But looking at them now, I’m thinking I really do need some wood to level and even it out. When the middle boxes are lying a quarter of an inch higher than the rest of the boxes, I have a clue something is up. But they’re all re-organized now, and I have the paper cuts on my arms to prove it.

I already have most of my comics catalogued on a computer file, so that’s not what I need to go through (even though I am thinking of getting a new filing system in the next few months). But as you can see from my picture, my storage boxes are getting bent and damaged, so I called the company last week to ask if I needed to do anything to fix them. And they sent me ten replacement boxes free of charge! Which I thought was very nice of them.

So now I just need a free day to take them all out of their old boxes and set up the new ones. The company also suggested to try and get some boards to put on my carpet and level out the floor, so that’s something else I should try to do. I’m hoping to get it all done next Tuesday, my next big day off.

went through all the ones i had in storage and wrote a list of the numbers, found some that were in inferior bags so have removed them for rebaggin, now just need to go through the more recent ones that are in my drawer and write them down and bag them
