improve my poker playing skills

I didn’t do very well but I didn’t lose either. My friend Tom really annoys me because he’s such a BAD winner and an EXTRA BAD loser!!! Nevermind I guess, but it really frustrates me!

I have read a few poker books now, and I also receive weekly e-mails from some poker pros with some good tips. One of the best ways I’ve learnt to improve my play is through our friendly games at home. It’s usually for free but sometimes we put in $5 each and the winner takes home $25. Really enjoying it.

One of my grumbles though = I wish there were more women interested! I guess it comes across as a predominantly male arena but that’s slowly changing around here.

P.S. At the local Cossie Club tournaments on Tuesday nights I’m coming about 20th out of about 70 people. Not bad for a beginner.
