get over being so shy

I’ve been fighting this for almost two years now, and it won’t sound like something big to a lot of people, but it’s big to me. I have a decent voice, no false modesty here, but I get embarrassed so easily. I want to sing a solo in my church, but have never had the guts to do it. There has always been someone better than me. More Godly than me, more deserving to do this than me. Well I finally asked our choir director if she would help me pick a song to sing. I gave her a cd of songs that I know well and can sing well, and asked her to pick whichever she thought would be best. I should find out Wednesday if there is one she likes on there. This is so hard. Just thinking about everyone looking at me kinda makes me want to throw up. I don’t even like it when my husband stares at me! lol But I’m going to try this. Wish me luck!

I never fit in as a kid, I was bookish, smart, and kinda weird. I still am but at some point I just decided that me being this way is ok. I am ok. If people don’t like it, well, they are different from other people and that is ok too.
