I wasn't cut out for it. 13 months ago

I got through the first 2, and ended up with a fearsome headache, and a deep hatred for the whole bally thing.

Watching them over the course of 3 Saturdays is more rewarding.

I have a date every year with myself to watch Lord of the Rings Trilogy since 2005, sometimes i do it with my husband..

its usually a whole day event with pizza deliveries and potatoes chips.. i really loved the movie and Im a big fan.

In fact, i even watch all the extra bonus stuff on custume and sets and all..

its great stuff to do with your family and friends!

Well… we did a few breaks to strech, eat and go to the bathroom, so it took us nearly a whole day. But it was fun and the movies are amazing.

Lord of the Rings Day '06 3 years ago

A fellow LotR fan and I decided that since our wives had other plans and we had nothing better to do we would do a full day of the extended additions. We began at 8am and “The End” appears on the screen at 9pm. We took small breaks at DVD switches and longer breaks during “intermission” (between the movies).

It was definately worth it as I was able to notice small things that occur in each movie that I might have missed otherwise.

My recommendation is lots of sugary snacks, pizza and plenty of soda, we drank a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper.

Advice: Give the kids something else to watch. Cook dinner in advance. Make sure wife also likes movie. Use the surround sound. Don’t try to read along in the book!

siquecountry is still unpacking

AND I saw it in the theater too.... 3 years ago

on the day “Return of the King” was released in theaters, a theater in Jacksonville, FL offered to show all three films back to back…16 hours of LOTR (albeit, non extended edition) joy…

after they came out on DVD… we did it again…that was love…

I’ll need pizza, popcorn, soda, and a movie buddy. We can do this!
